Colorado-based artist Lex Lucius finds his creative muse in horses. Their muscled bodies, their strength and determination when in motion, and their calmness captivate him. He is currently working in acrylic, ink, and gesso on wood panels. Lucius holds a BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, an MFA from the University of New Mexico, and a Diploma of Art from Okanagan College in British Columbia. Exhibits include a recent solo show at Peyton Wright Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as well as in galleries throughout Northern California, New Mexico, New York, New Orleans, and Vancouver. Current media coverage: LandEscape Art Review (London) and Magazine 43 (Berlin, Manila, Hong Kong). Lucius is represented by Peyton Wright in Santa Fe and Elliot Yeary Gallery in Aspen.
