Artist Statement
In addition to making art in the two-dimensional drawing and painting sense, dance and/or movement have been a passion and outlet for me ever since I can remember. Another personal outlet is being out in nature and appreciating it. Although these have always been cornerstones of who I am, combining them together in my artistic practice is a recent development, strongly informed by my experiences during the pandemic. This series exists in the space where dance and/or movement, nature, and making art come together. Presented in mixed media, my compositions are a compilation of captured photo references and memories from adventures in nature and movement exploration.

In addition to supporting her own studio practice, she is passionate about curating and installing art exhibitions and helping to facilitate exhibition opportunities for other artists in her area. She is also a long-time dancer. She has been taking improvisational dance classes with the same dance teacher since she was six years old and continues to dance to this day. She loves to travel with her husband, and she visits art museums and galleries as much as she can! Her home, which is also her studio, is located in Ballston Lake, NY.
