Katrinka Moore

Refugia

The weathered world     frays
splinters

Strewn skeletons     raw soil     rusty
artifacts

Scanty remnants     flora
fauna

scatter across the face
of the earth

retreat     adapt     persist

Is this story a running
river      or the sea      tides
that swell     retract     return

Unlikely gatherings     small bevies
of sundry beings

come to live     in an in
between

An unworded dialect     emerges
that all divine
